Yeah, I just love . It's classic Hollywood Noir, a timeless love story, a good guys vs. bad guys background, a hero coming into his own. Just an excellent film.

Brian From Earth-16

is a very underrated film. As a kid, I wanted to have that jetpack. Disney Plus should do a Rocketeer series; I would definitely pitch it to Disney!

Also, something that was action packed, romance filled, but still family friendly. Also with clear antagonists and protagonists. Everybody didn't have to be 'grey' or 'sympathetic.'

Kitty Gunn

<spoiler> The creator of the Rocketeer, Dave Stevens, had a cameo, he was the guy that gets blown up in the testing of the jetpack.

Is it wrong that I like Timothy Dalton more as a villain (in this and Hot Fuzz) than I do when he hero?

He played this villain to the hilt! I think Dalton is just better as a bad boy. Like Prince Barin in Flash Gordon.pic.twitter.com/dK2kslfaSw

It's the opposite of noir. Noir is ambiguous, grey area crime stories. This was lighthearted and uplifting. An awesome movie! 😁

I KNEW someone was going to show up with that. I KNEW it. I was going to type quasi-Hollywood style noir but ran out of characters. So I KNEW this tweet was coming. And it wasn't lighthearted.

It's a good movie. But, if the Rocketeer was remade with a different vision and story? What would be about? 🤔

I don't think it needs to be. It's rooted in the time period it was set, wouldn't work outside of WW II.
